The color sample is then sent to our production specialists so they can perform various tests on the color chosen. Custom colors generally require color matches, which are then assigned a number so a newly created blend can be pulled and used in the future. We then mix the custom color with a specific resin and produce a color chip for the customer to review.
Although custom colors can be more expensive, VOLT is your best option by far! If it does cost a tad more than your traditional white or black nylon colors, your custom color can be used to create aesthetically pleasing finished products to match your marketing color scheme. Many times, a color chosen will need to be tweaked. It’s important to understand that color variations occur based on resin, substrate, and material. There is a slight chance that the Pantone could look different on different materials – and if the customer is not happy with the final color result, the color-matching process will need to be repeated until it’s correct.
