Q&A!

You have questions? We have the answers at Volt Industrial Plastics. We’ve been around the block a time or two, and with experience comes knowledge. We are the leading pioneer when it comes to producing plastic screws and nuts (both standard and metric), license plate screws and nuts, Christmas tree clips, rivets, wire and cable routing clips, printed circuit board hardware, dowels, washers, spacers, tapped spacers, and many other fasteners. We also have an aggressive tooling program in place that adds new tools and produces new parts every year.

VOLT FAQs:

How do I know what fasteners will work best with my application?

Volts products are used in a variety of industries like electronics, automotive, signage, and furniture to name a few. With so many options (given that Volt literally has millions of fasteners in our inventory), sometimes it is hard to know exactly what you need. For example, our plastic screws come in different head types, drive types, and etc. Volt ships out samples each and every day - and we recommend that you try before you buy.

Are all fasteners built in-house - or does VOLT outsource some of their products?

Everything is built “IN DA’ HOUSE!” Volt takes pride in the fact that all of our fasteners are made right here in our facilities in Arkansas, USA.

What about tooling? Some companies make their own, others don’t.

When we say everything is built in the house, we mean EVERYTHING. Volt takes pride in the fact that all components—tooling and parts—are made right here. This not only allows us to produce exactly what the customer wants, but this also translates to a huge cost saving advantage for our customers!

How long does it take Volt Industrial Plastics to build a new tool?

We know that money is time and time is money. Volt can usually build a new tool in as little as two to four weeks.

What is the cost of a new tool to the customer?

Depending on the quantity and type of part, a new tool can cost anywhere from $0 to $6,000.

Does Volt Industrial Plastics carry inventory on standard parts?

Yes! Volt has over one one hundred million parts in stock and ready to be shipped the same day as the order is placed.

What if the part I need is not in inventory?

Lead times for standard parts are usually 2 - 3 days for a production run.

What if I need an alternate material for a specific product?

Volt Industrial Plastics offers over 120 different materials to meet any specific application requirements for the customer.

One reason we are so confident is due to the fact that we recently relocated manufacturing operations to a 65,000-square foot facility. The new location is over two and one half times larger than the previous facility and includes additional warehouse space for finished goods and raw material inventories—plus, there is additional manufacturing space which houses the latest state-of-the-art tool making and production equipment: EDM machines, top-of-the-line CNC-EDM sinker, a CNC milling center and a CNC lathe. To be specific, the facility holds over one hundred million plastic fasteners, which can be shipped the same day or the next day depending on the time the order is received.

With a heritage of growth and hard work, VIP expansion indicates our commitment to our customers and our future. Let us know how we can help you!
